ROBERT
SKALLI - President President Robert Skalli is the president of St. Supéry as well as Skalli Family Wines. Robert was a pioneer in modernizing the wine industry in the Languedoc region of France, while maintaining the spirit of the rich Mediterranean culture. An extensive traveler, he lives in Paris with his wife Florence and has three adult children.
The Skalli family, owners of St. Supéry Vineyards & Winery, have deep roots in Mediterranean culture. They live and work in France where Skalli Family Wines own wineries in the Languedoc region, Chatueauneuf du Pape and Corsica.
In the 1970's, young Robert Skalli was inspired by his visits to the Napa Valley to set in motion two dreams. One was to dramatically improve the wines from the south of France, and the other was to start a new winery in the Napa Valley. In 1982 he purchased Dollarhide, the same year he pioneered the growing and bottling of traditional varietals in France's Languedoc region. He is widely acknowledged to be the leader of the resulting wine quality revolution in the south of France.
