You can arrange a private grafting seminar for your group. Contact info at the bottom of this page. Have you ever dreamed of owning a world-class vineyard estate? St. Supéry Vineyards & Winery in Napa Valley, California, wants to show you how, one vine at a time. Learn to Grow Your Own Cabernet Sauvignon vine, from rootstock and grapevine clone selection, to grafting the two together into the perfect vine. No wine or plant knowledge required – you will learn about the origin of delicious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Supéry’s vineyard team, and take home your unique creations ready to plant. This seminar is available for private groups. We begin with a continental breakfast in historic Atkinson House and then move to the vineyard to discuss Napa Valley viticulture with a winery expert. The seminar covers planting, trellising and annual vineyard maintenance as well as the importance of rootstock and clone selection. Then we take rootstocks and a variety of Cabernet Sauvignon clones and graft one to the other, like professionals. Each person takes home a vine that they can plant and display proudly for friends who wish they too owned a personally crafted Cabernet Sauvignon estate vineyard. Hungry yet? After the grafts are sealed, your group can enjoy a gourmet, three-course lunch paired with wines by St. Supéry’s vineyard chef. Nothing short of top-notch wines and food will do for our new fellow grape growers.
Dates: January 27 and February 3 & 10
