Some people think rosé is a sissy wine, not worthy of accompanying meals even as light as a salad much less a sultry dinner of filet mignon. I don’t agree. A fruity, crisp. dry – dry being the key word – rosé is a delight for the senses. From picnics on the beach, to winter dinner parties with friends, to a tailgate party, all call for dry rosé.
Full of character, this Rosé of Merlot from our Dollarhide vineyard was made with your and my food and pleasure in mind. The aroma of fresh strawberries leaps out of the glass at the beginning and are followed by a hint of a floral note. The palate again shows bright strawberry but then is followed by cherries and cream. This is a crisp, dry summer sipper.
We also have some great new recipes created especially for our Rosé of Merlot.
