St. Supéry Chronicles Spring 2026

A Quarterly Newsletter

Welcome to Earth Month! Here in Napa Valley, we welcomed vineyard bud break approximately two weeks earlier than expected. The valley has experienced warm sunshine filled days and the winery’s grounds are bursting with flowers. Our new St. Supéry Social Hour continues each Wednesday – Friday, 2-4pm, through the month of May. Join us to enjoy wines by the glass or choose a bottle. Featured wines will rotate throughout the season, so grab a friend, or two, and stop by especially when we have live music on Friday afternoons.

We are also excited to launch our annual Estate Luncheon Series featuring The Big Green Egg. Join us monthly, June – October, with expanded dates and themes. Additionally, Sip & Swirl Sundays provide a fun and educational wine tasting to learn more about pairing wine and food, reading wine lists and labels, plus so much more. Expand your knowledge in a fun and relaxing setting while sipping our latest wine releases.

Our featured recipe this month is a Tandoori-spiced Cauliflower to enjoy as an appetizer or as part of a larger shared meal paired with Napa Valley Estate Virtu or Dollarhide Estate Vineyard Muscat Canelli. Tag the winery @stsupery for a chance to be featured in our Instagram stories when you make one of our recipes at home.

We hope to see you here in Napa Valley soon, or at one of the many additional events around the country the winery is participating in this spring and summer. Cheers to delicious wine and food shared with friends and family as the warmer months approach.

Recent Accolades

91 Points – Decanter Magazine | 2024 St. Supéry Rutherford Estate Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc  The wine is incredibly bright, vivid and focused, driven by pure lime, lime zest and lime blossom, with saline-edged acidity coursing through the light- to medium-bodied palate. Positively crunchy acidity and chalky mineral intensity define the long, refreshing finish. -JC, 01/2026

Revisiting the 2016 Vintage – JaneAnson.com – 02/2026
95 Points – 2016 Napa Valley Estate Elu  With aromas of maple syrup and vanilla on the nose, this excellent estate wine seductively welcomes you in. It has length and texture, elegance and maturity, and is ready to be consumed, or you could save it for a few more years.

94 Points – 2016 Dollarhide Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon  Refined and polished, with great acid integration and a tannin structure that is still strong, despite its age. It has a long life ahead of it and will age well for years. Chocolate, cassis and boysenberry, along with other tertiary flavors come to the fore, confident yet with a whisper.

Tandoori-spiced Cauliflower

A new favorite recipe to pair with Napa Valley Estate Virtu or Dollarhide Estate Vineyard Muscat Canelli and Semillon.

INGREDIENTS
1 large head of cauliflower
½ cup tandoori spice mix, plus more as needed RECIPE
High-heat vegetable oil, as needed
Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS
1. Turn your oven to its highest heat setting (450-500˚F for most home ovens). Place a large, well-seasoned cast iron pan in the oven and allow it to heat up while you prepare the cauliflower.
2. Remove the leaves and tough stem end of the cauliflower. Slice the head into 3 to 4 steaks approximately 1” thick. Save the outer florets for another purpose, or cook them separately.
3. Coat the cauliflower steaks with vegetable oil, then add a generous layer of tandoori spice, making sure you get into as many of the crevices as possible. If using the smaller florets, give them the same treatment.

Spring's Perfect Sips

2022 Dollarhide Estate Vineyard Semillon | A winery-exclusive offering to pair with a variety of fish, seafood, poultry and fresh spring salads.

Tasting Notes: Brilliant hues of pale yellow and lively, youthful green touches illustrate this wine’s profile. Opening aromas boast key lime pie, lemon custard, and lemon grass interlaced with hints of caramel from the toasted French oak. Rich lemon curd and dried apricot round out the palate with lemon meringue notes and a subtle toasted oak complexity. This is a lightly crisp and elegant wine with layers of creaminess and textural refinement.

2024 Napa Valley Estate Rosé | A perfect wine to pair with grilled fish and chicken, shrimp tacos, and more.

Tasting Notes: Bright and inviting, the 2024 Rosé has a pale blush hue with aromas of just picked ripe strawberries, raspberry, kiwi, juicy watermelon and hints of rose hips. The refreshing palate is filled with tangy cranberry, strawberry, pomegranate, hibiscus and citrus peel. 90 points, Wine Enthusiast

Our People

Hospitality Manager, Chrystal Fairbanks, joined our hospitality team last fall. Chrystal considers herself relatively new to Napa Valley, having moved from Southern California in 2021 to turn her passion for wine into a career.

She began as a cellar intern at Paul Hobbs in Sonoma, gaining hands-on experience in the production side of the industry. Since then, she has held a variety of roles with a focus on wine sales, brand management, and leadership for premium brands. Prior to transitioning into wine, Chrystal spent nearly a decade in international education at her alma mater, UC Irvine, where she helped students plan summer, semester, and year-long study abroad programs around the world.

An avid hiker who completed Southern California’s Six Pack of Peaks challenge in 2018, be sure to say hello to Chrystal, and occasionally her dog Denver, on your next visit to St. Supéry.
