New St. Supéry reviews from the heralded 2021 Napa Valley vintage appearing in the May issue of Wine Enthusiast, all reviewed by Elaine Chukan Brown.
94 points – 2021 St. Supéry Dollarhide Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon – Richly flavored with pleasing texture, this wine can be enjoyed now, but will also continue to evolve in cellar. Flavors of ripe, dark fruits combine with refreshing woodsiness and a crack of black pepper. —E.C.B.
93 points – 2021 St. Supéry Rutherford Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon– Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Rutherford). Lush and velvety flavors convey plum, cocoa, sweet cherry and a lift of fresh herbs, with fine-grained tannins. Although approachable enough to drink now, the wine is built to age. —E.C.B.
93 points – 2021 St. Supéry Napa Valley Estate Elu – Dark fruits and spiced dark chocolate combine with an earthy finish for a satisfying, finessed and silky red wine. —E.C.B.
90 points – 2021 St. Supéry Rutherford Estate Vineyard Merlot – Concentrated and textural, this wine is flavored with a complex of fruits and hint of spice followed by a structured finish. —E.C.B.
