Hospitality Greeter

St. Supéry Estate Winery has an exciting part time opportunity in our hospitality department. This position ensures smooth operations with Winery hospitality by making reservations for guests, greeting and showing guests to their appointments and supporting other daily hospitality activities. Weekends are required for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide phone coverage and make reservations.
• Greet each guest personally and offer first class hospitality
• Assist in maintaining visual displays, and merchandise; stocks shelves
• Supports staff by washing glasses, setting up for experiences, cleaning, and aiding retail operations
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to be a ‘team player’
• Ability to learn the St. Supéry story and communicate it to visitors as needed
• Winery and/or restaurant experience preferred
• Customer service experience
• Able to learn to use AMS software

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be well organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner.
• Must be able to perform a variety of tasks, including operating the cash register and general housekeeping

Hospitality Supervisor

The Hospitality Supervisor works closely with the Hospitality Manager and Director of Hospitality on all aspects of the guest experience for guests to ensure they are offered world class hospitality from the time of reservation to the time of execution and more.  This includes maintaining a welcoming environment and providing an unforgettable experiences at the winery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Share open/close tasting room duties with Hospitality Manager
  • Assist with daily schedule and collateral needs
  • Offer “Best of Class” experiences that are personal and memorable.
  • Be attentive to the needs and wishes of our guests and members.
  • Create St. Supéry fans for life.
  • Convey the quality of our wines and offer tastings and private experiences for guests

  • Assist with hosting events, VIPs and guests. Schedule and conduct tastings for guests and groups
  • Represent St. Supéry at off-site tastings as needed or assigned
  • Assist the Hospitality Manager in providing staff supervision of the tasting room staff.
  • Surprise and delight our guests, over-deliver from arrival to departure.
  • Maintain a culture of commitment, hospitality, service, responsibility, integrity, teamwork, enthusiasm, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and assist with on-site promotions and special events as needed
  • Other responsibilities as the business demands
  • Assist Management with outreach and networking with tourism partners and other wineries in order to drive new customers to us. Monitoring, tracking and adjusting and participating in outreach, networking and partnering with people, organizations, companies and tourism partners in order to distinguish St. Supéry as a preferred destination in Napa Valley.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: S. degree preferred.
  • Knowledgeable foundation in wine with continuing education or accreditations preferred.
  • Commitment to excellence and acute attention to detail
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Restaurant and Retail sales experience a plus.
  • Experience with team leadership, and motivational skills.
  • An understanding of basic state and federal labor laws and Human Resources issues.
  • Knowledge of AMS system, or other point of sale system, a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Courteous and professional communication skills. Ability to communicate and work well with others, including visitors, customers, management, supervisors and co-workers.

Maintenance Trainee

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery is looking for a motivated maintenance worker to perform repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on the winery facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role. Key responsibilities include:

•  General winery maintenance, in all areas of the winery, including production, offices, and other buildings.
•  Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems/water distribution systems
•  Responsible for ensuring work is done in a safe manner, following established safety protocols
•  Ongoing preventative maintenance for the Bottling line, Refrigerator Systems, fire pump and boiler systems
•  Perform small wall repairs and painting
•  Schedule equipment maintenance with vendors as appropriate
•  Provide assistance during bottling

Qualifications:
•  High School diploma
•  1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
•  General machine shop skills
•  Working experience in electrical, plumbing, welding, and general building maintenance
•  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•  Must have a valid California driver’s license and a good driving record.
•  Ability to work under tight deadlines
•  Fluent in English, good verbal and written communication skills
•  Must be available to work scheduled days and have flexibility to work different schedules or hours when necessary.

Telesales Representative

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery has a telesales representative position available for a sales and customer service focused candidate. This position is responsible for making outbound calls to winery customers to generate sales and meet sales goals. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented, relationship-builder with a minimum of six months telesales/outbound calling experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Generate and qualify leads through outbound calling to our membership and customer base
•  Manage leads by tracking and following up on them.
•  Close sales and meet monthly sales goals in accordance with development plan. Build relationships with customers and members to foster increased retention and improve customer service.
•  Produce activity reports.
•  May also be required to answer and service inbound wine club, and ecommerce calls

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
•  Minimum of 6 months of telesales/outbound calling experience
•  Excellent communication and customer services skills
•  Interest in and basic understanding of wine.
•  High school diploma
•  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
•  Must have a valid California driver’s license and a good driving record.

Wine Educator

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery is looking for talented people to host winery visitors, share our wines and our stories, and sell our wines and Wine Clubs.  In this exciting position, you will provide visitors with an educational and enjoyable wine tasting experience while perpetuating the highest standards of courtesy and hospitality.  Weekends required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Educate visitors on St. Supéry wines and engage them in a manner that will earn their repeat business, recommendations to friends and loyalty
  • Conduct wine tastings and / or tours of the facility in a positive and enjoyable manner
  • Sell wine and acquire new Wine Club members
  • Execute sales promotions and marketing campaigns as directed

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong customer service and sales experience with ability to sell wine club memberships and expand the customer database.
  • General wine knowledge and familiarity with St. Supéry wines
  • Hospitality or Sales experience preferred

Cellar Harvest Intern

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery in the Napa Valley has an opening for cellar workers to join our production team for the 2022 season. This is a seasonal position, from approximately beginning of August to mid-December.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Rackings and transfers of juice and wine
  • Inoculations/additions to juice and wine
  • Pumpover/punch down of red ferments
  • Operating crush equipment and presses
  • Draining and pressing of tanks, including shoveling pommace
  • Perform Sanitation procedures
  • Forklift Operation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work long hours, up to 6 days a week, and varying shifts, including night shift
  • Must be able to work mid-August to December
  • Experience with forklift operations a plus. Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must have valid driver’s license

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1 harvest in a winery

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is on their feet most of the day walking.

  • Ability to lift and move 60 lbs.
