St. Supéry Estate Vineyards and Winery Acquires Second Rutherford Vineyard
Leading Napa Valley winery adds to its estate vineyard acreage

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery recently acquired a vineyard property from LMR Wine Estates in the Rutherford appellation of Napa Valley. The 48-acre vineyard is planted to 42 acres of Sauvignon Blanc, bringing the winery’s Napa Valley estate land holdings to 1,600+ acres with over 575 acres developed to vineyards. St. Supéry is the grower of over 9% of Napa Valley’s Sauvignon Blanc and produces 100% estate-grown, certified Napa Green wines, focusing on Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and additional red Bordeaux varietals.
“We are excited to add to our Sauvignon Blanc vineyard holdings here in the Napa Valley. As one of the largest estate wineries in Napa Valley, we were yet to plant Sauvignon Blanc outside of our Dollarhide Estate Vineyard, stated St. Supéry CEO, Emma Swain. “The fruit from this new vineyard site in Rutherford is so nuanced and layered. Our winemaking team plans to ferment the blocks separately and trial various fermenting and aging techniques in 2023.”
LMR Wine Estates will continue to source some of the fruit from the vineyard. The sale price was not disclosed.
